Metal mechanism for reliability
Another tradition for Citizen has been its Hi-Lift™ 'clamshell' mechanisms. Often emulated (but never bettered) our engineers worked tirelessly to develop a newer and even simpler system. The mechanism still uses an all-metal construction for the clamshell to make sure the printer is reliable and precise.

The printhead can be raised to the vertical position for easy cleaning and servicing and the cleverly designed media arm includes an adjustable media sensor.

Easy-to-use mechanism
The colour-coded operator levers within the printer are designed to make set up easy, quick and efficient and the printer can be configured easily by the Vue-Print menu system developed by Citizen for other printers in its range.

LCD Control Panel
Users have no need to wonder whether the printer is correctly set-up and ready to print. The LCD control panel displays easy-to-understand messages about the status of the printer.

Internal PSU
Many other machines available on the market have an external power supply which can be kicked or damaged or even simply unplugged by mistake.

They do not compromise here either with a high performance integrated internal power supply for hassle-free printing and reliability.

Standard Connectivity: Parallel and Serial.
For flexibility of choice, the printers are supplied with both a high speed parallel interface, especially useful for graphics printing and an industry standard RS232C serial interface.


Options for flexible label handling

Autocutter: Labels and continuous media are automatically cut after printing

Peeler with sensor: Label backing is removed for quick label application.

Paper roll holders: Two sizes of paper roll holder are available (4 inch and 8-inch diameter) depending on the application required. Usually, the printers are shipped with a 4-inch paper roll and standard.
