Citizen Systems Europe, the leading manufacturer label and barcode printers, has introduced its three desktop printer models in dark grey colour design.  They have been specifically introduced to improve the appearance in industrial applications where dirt and grime are present meaning that they are easier to maintain.

Citizen’s sophisticated dark grey colour design ensures that the units are comparatively easier to maintain and keep presentable, particularly within industrial environments where dust, dirt, or particulates are present. Citizen’s dark grey printers are also equally at home in cleaner environments such as office where many PCs and monitors are already supplied in dark grey and black colours.

Capable of printing at speeds of up to 4 inches per second, the new printers feature an Active Ribbon Control and Positioning System (ARCP™), which maintains a constant tension on the ribbon and eliminates the problem of poor print quality, ensuring wrinkle-free printing and superior printing results even on specialised materials. Perhaps as importantly, the ARCP system helps maintain optimum print speed and resolution. 

The bench or table-top CLP-521, 621 and 631 printers are designed to be used as either stand-alone or networked devices, offering excellent web connectivity via internal Ethernet or wireless LAN cards. The units are simple to use, with colour-coded levers for easy, quick and efficient set-up and can be configured simply using the Vue-Print menu system specially developed by Citizen.

The latest CLP-631 is ideal for producing small labels containing a large amount of complex data such as might be used inside mobile phones or on pharmaceutical packs, while the latest CLP-521 and 621 printers are ideal for production line labelling, where an autocutter is required to cut card tags or continuous media to particular lengths. In addition, the CLP-521 and 621 feature a label peeler that checks labels have been removed before printing further ones.

Backed by Citizen’s global network of support centres, the latest printers are compatible with a wide range of standard and specialised media consumables being readily available worldwide.
